Cedar Grove Cemetery Parcel
The BRA voted to approve the change in zoning of the parcels and the cemetery then presented before the zoning commission for final review on September 7th. The zoning commission unanimously moved to table the issue until next month and suggested there be more extensive communication between the cemetery and the next door condominium residents. Some on the commission recommended separating the zoning request for the two parcels, dealing first with the parking situation, and later with the housing possibilities.
Lucy’s American Tavern
The new restaurant opened over the summer and met with abutters prior. Signs have been placed on surrounding streets by the City of Boston “No Restaurant Parking”. The city is working on redoing the sidewalks out front of Lucy’s along Granite Avenue and Lucy’s will be installing a metal barrier along the front of the restaurant for safety.
We Launched into Fall!
The First CGCA “Launch” into Fall event was a success and we hope to expand upon it next summer with more opportunities to kayak and canoe in the Neponset River. The Neponset River Watershed Association is entering its 50th year and will be presenting before the association in the months to come and they hope to have more programming next year as well along the river.
